I came in touch with Yoga about 25 years ago when my husband and I travelled together for the first time. We slept in a tent and the next morning I crawled out of it and saw him doing shoulder stand. I didn’t know before that he is practicing Yoga and while looking to him I realized he looked different during his postures which fascinated me. It seemed that his Indian roots came more to shine. I started to do Yoga with him for a period of time but lost it later. A big part of my life became sailing, teaching in primary schools and family.
Through pregnancy I reconnected with Yoga and my practice became more and more important for me. I realized through a physical practice how patterns in forms and body echo in psychology. I experienced Yoga has the power to reveal, to reorganize, to shift, to manipulate body, mind and breath and to develop an insight.
I took a Vinyasa teacher training 2016 with David Lurey and Mirjam Wagner in Brasil. One focus became the anatomy, what is a functional and healthy pose. These questions lead me to my next training about „The Geometry of Yoga“ with David Regelin from New York. Through him I came to Katonah Yoga, which I want to experience and study deeper.
In february 2018 I did an intensive training with Abbie Galvin in Los Angeles.
